چکیده

2. Working Equations of the Vibrating-Wire Instrument Our implementation [1] of the steady-state vibrating-wire technique is similar to that described by Audonnet and Pádua [2] in which the wire is driven at frequency f by a constant sinusoidal current I, and the emf V(f) generated across the vibrating wire is measured with a two-phase lock-in amplifier. This measured emf generally comprises two terms: the first, V1(f), arises from the electrical impedance of the stationary wire; while the second, V2(f), arises from the motion of the wire. In the analysis, we express the complex function V1 as

ON THE VISCOSITY OF NATURAL GAS

The existing measuremenJs of the viscosity of gaseous systems can be extended if use is made of statistical mechanics. In this work, we confine ourselves to the measurements of the viscosity of multicomponent mixtures of low-density gases. The method is applied to one sample of natural gas.

Correlations and Predictions of THF + 2-Alkanol Binary Mixtures Behaviour by PC-SAFT Model and Friction Theory

In this article the behavior of tetrahydrofuran (THF) + 2-alkanol namely 2-propanol, 2-butanol, 2-pentanol, 2-hexanol and 2-heptanol binary mixtures through the density and viscosity measurements have been studied as a function of composition and within the temperature range of 293.15–313.15 K. The excess molar volume, isobaric thermal expansivity, partial molar volumes, and viscosity deviation...

Measuring the Density and Viscosity of Carbonated Aqueous 35 wt% Methyldiethanolamine Solution

The density and viscosity of carbonated aqueous 35wt% methyldiethanolamine solution were experimentally measured accompanied with the solubility of CO2 at temperatures from (303.15 to 363.15) K and pressures up to 0.8 MPa using the new setup developed in our laboratory. It was observed that both density and viscosity of mixtures decrease by increasing temperature and incr...

Using Artificial Neural Network for Estimation of Density and Viscosities of Biodiesel–Diesel Blends

In recent years, biodiesel has been considered as a good alternative of diesel fuels. Density and viscosity are two important properties of these fuels. In this study, density and kinematic viscosity of biodiesel-diesel blends were estimated by using artificial neural network (ANN). A three-layer feed forward neural network with Levenberg-Marquard (LM) algorithm was used for learning empirical ...

A Vibrating Plate Fabricated by the Methods of Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) for the Simultaneous Measurement of Density and Viscosity: Results for Argon at Temperatures Between 323 and 423K at Pressures up to 68MPa1

In the petroleum industry, measurements of the density and viscosity of petroleum reservoir fluids are required to determine the value of the produced fluid and the production strategy. Measurements of the density and viscosity of petroleum fluids require a transducer that can operate at reservoir conditions, and results with an uncertainty of about ±1% in density and ±10% in viscosity are need...
